Coming to a Living Room Near You
Was it that long ago that I was bemoaning the lack of classic movies on DVD? The
latest edition of Barrie Maxwell's 'Classic Coming Attractions' column shows that the tide has turned and
a ton of stuff is coming our way soon. The flood of product from Warner Home Video alone is staggering: box sets devoted to Joan Crawford and Bette Davis in June; another Looney Tunes box; Val Lewton and Greta Garbo boxes in the fall;
Thin Man and Fred Astaire/Ginger Rogers sets; expanded editions of
The Wizard of Oz,
Ben Hur and
Mighty Joe Young. Mind-boggling, eh?
