Wonderful World of Color

Ooh, I love the Disney artist Mary Blair. A Joshua Tree In Every Pot linked to some great photos of one of her more obscure projects: a tile mural in the waiting room at UCLA's Jules Stein Eye Institute. The mural continues the charming "children of the world" theme present in her Disneyland Tomorrowland and Walt Disney World Contemporary Resort murals, only on a smaller scale. That link also contains some of her mind-blowing It's A Small World concept art (like below). Anyways, all this sunshiny optimism makes one wanna tiptoe barefoot through a field of blossoms, huh?
