And Now Snoop Dogg Will Perform the Best Song Medley

Chris Rock will host the next Academy Awards broadcast. Now this is a surprise. Maybe Gil Gates woke up to the fact that Billy Crystal and his ilk are totally irrelevant and about as funny as a stick in the mud. At the very least Mr. Rock will keep the ceremonies lively and spontaneous. The only topper to this would be if Jamie Foxx wins the best actor Oscar for his Ray Charles biopic. Fingers crossed.

Ha! Better put the Oscars on a ten-second delay...

I really think this is the sign of the apocolypse. I mean the Oscars was the one tattered, wheezing, limping vestige of Hollywood elegance and glamour left for us simpletons to yearn for.
Once the Oscars are gone as the last bastion of chic on the West Coast, how are we to find a new way to set fashion trends for formalwear....and how will we ever be able to find new role models to aspire to.

Oh what has happened to our world, people! What has happened, I ask you (stubs out her cigarette in it's long holder...then sets down the martini glass and sweeps out of the room ---layers of chiffon and heavy perfume floating behind her in an elegant swish of disgust and disappointment.
