Mrs. Garrett Would Not Approve

SixDifferentWays posted about what Lisa Whelchel has been up to since her Facts of Life days. I already knew about that weird Texas homeschooling/fundamentalist Christian lifestyle thing she's got going, but now she has a parenting tips book out that advocates using hot sauce to prevent a child from swearing. Say it aint so, Blair!

Last night I watched an interesting special on the Biography Channel on the making of The Facts of Life. Ms. Whelchel and Mindy Cohn talked about how the "Natalie loses her virginity" episode was originally intended to center around Blair, but Lisa objected and Mindy happily stepped in. It also had interviews with Charlotte Rae and the woman who played Cousin Geri. Kim Fields and Nancy McKeon (who is becoming to TFoL what Tina Louise was to Gilligan's Island) were both MIA.

Did they talk about what to do when the world never seems to be living up to your dreams?
