New Directions in Snobbery

Tonight I read a couple of entries on the film blog Rashomon which struck me as especially intelligent. The first one challenges the definition of "film snobs" -- the real film snobs are the kind of people who only stick to the latest Hollywood blockbusters and never venture beyond the local multiplex. The second one offers suggestions for broadening your filmically ignorant friends' horizons. Apparently there's going to be a third part to the series; I'll be looking forward to it. Via Triplux, which also is worth a look.
