Funky Music Sho' Nuff Turns Me On

50 Great TV Themes, originally posted here in August 2002, has been copied to its own page. I just wanted to have a more permanent home for this and the 100 Favorite TV Moments page. If you're a more recent scrubbles reader, check it out!!

Wha, no Flintstones? No Bonanza? No Dating Game? No Odd Couple?

Posted by: Robot Johnny at March 5, 2004 08:10 AM

I had strict inclusion rules. Dating Game was out because it was a sydicated game show. Odd Couple was out because the theme was adapted from the movie soundtrack.

Fair enough. Some others favourites that slipped through the cracks: Leave it to Beaver, Unsolved Mysteries, Get Smart, Dr. Who, The Rockford Files

*sigh* I see that same "Born Innocent" moment on so many lists, and it's apparently just recopied from one to another without anyone having seen the movied. It was a *toilet plunger* (named Johnny), for heaven's sake, not a broom stick.

I like your list, and I know people love to write in and say 'How come such and so wasn't on there?' -- But I just have to add:
Perry Mason Theme (makes me want to drink whiskey)
Ellery Queen Theme (okay, so nobody watched that)
Twin Peaks Theme
Thanks! I LOVE TV!
