I just want to point up your consistently clean and simple writing, Matt.
Seems like you’ve slowly entered your “Middle Period”, i.e. you are doing what you always do (commenting, contextualizing, cheerleading the good in comparison with the bad in our culture), but you’re doing it with such EASE these days.

I LOVE Swing Out Sister. My favorite is probably “Somewhere Deep in the Night,” moody retro-soundtrack pop brilliance. And I re-fell in love with Chris Isaak a few years ago after hearing one of his lost, later singles, “Flying,” at a Ross Dress for Less. Good stuff.
