Oh boy do I hear ya. I hate the radio these days. I'm not sure if you're a fan of Family Guy, but they did a spoof of the radio broadcasting industry that was really funny. most of the radio broadcast is made up of commercials and those annoying beepidy boop bop noises.

Try 100.3 the sound in LA. it's making a resurgence in DJ radio.

My two big radio station memories are both from my years in California:

First, in the early 1980s, KFRC 610 am in San Francisco. It was here that I discovered that radio comedies and dramas existed prior to the 1970s and the CBS Radio Mystery Theatre. It started me on my love affair with vintage radio programs -- which exists to this day.

Second, in the late 1980s, KPWR 106 fm in Los Angeles, the home of the very best dance music to be found anywhere on the planet. My car radio never wavered from this station.

To this day there are still songs that, whenever I hear them, give me KUKQ flashbacks.
