Wasting Away Again
I’m somewhat amazed that Todd Haynes’ legendary underground film Superstar: The Karen Carpenter Story has been up at Google Video for several months now without getting pulled. See it before Richard Carpenter catches on. (hat tip to William)

It is great and sad. I can remember them on TV and buying their records…Kind of ages me I guess. You never really know what goes on inside a person. She was young, very pretty, very talented. Such a sad ending to such a promising life.

Oh, wow, I was just telling somebody about that. When I was in college, a friend was running the cinema and ran that with The Diane Linkletter Story, and I’ve not been able to see either since. Thanks!!
